Everest Base Camp Trekking follows the yak caravan route towards spiritual Tengboche Monastery. This is the most sacred place of Sherpa and also hosts Mani Rimdu Festival every year. This is the last camping place residing below Kalapathar (5545 m). The time finally arrives as you will be stepping your step on the iconic base camp of Everest (5365 m). Trip heads back to Lukla for the flight to Kathmandu following the same trail.

Equipment Check List
Approximately 3000 to 3500 cubic inches Duffel Bag: Nepal Trekking Routes Treks and Expedition will supply complimentary water and wind proof duffel/kit bag, but one extra big duffel bag/suitcase is necessary for non-trek items left at the hotel in Kathmandu

Risk and Liabilities
All the Nepal Tours are performed under the strict rules and regulations of the tourism board of the Nepal. We aren't accountable for any change or cancellation of the trip under unavoidable situations like alternate in rules and regulations of the country, government regulations, herbal screw ups, political instability, cancellation of flight, delay, illness or accident, a breakdown of a vehicle, and so on. Any more fees incurred due to such occasions shall be borne by the customer themselves. Consequently, journey insurance is exceptionally encouraged.
If you want to cancel your tour for any reason, you have to write down it to us 15 days before your journey departure date. We shall approve it as canceled most effective after receiving a valid written be the notice from the customer. If the purpose to your cancellation is true like injury or serious illness, you may postpone your tour or switch your booking to another person who meets all of the requirements for the journey. But, a charge of USD 200 per person might be charged if you postpone or switch your trip inside 15 days prior to your journey date. Please note that the deposited money is nonrefundable, consequently, you may utilize the money to book a tour with Nepal Trekking Routes Treks and Expedition next time.
Booking in Last minute
Last minute booking option is also available which includes booking prior to 5 days of the trip date. The 100% cost of the tour should be deposited at the time of booking to guarantee the reservation.
If Tour Incomplete
We are not obligated to refund incase of Tour Incompletion from your side.
If your journeys get cancelled because of any unexpected instances like disasters, conflict or unfavorable climatic situations, we can arrange any other trip for you. So, your money is safe and secured which will be used for next visit or Nepal Trekking Routes Treks will arrange the package accordingly analysing the favorable situations.
The change in the Tour Package Price is imminent incase of drastic change in the foreign currency exchange rates and government rules.
We strongly recommend a complete travel insurance package deal to all our customers. The insurance should cover all the medical fee, personal accident, emergency evacuation (heli rescue), and tour cancellation, loss of equipment and natural calamity, theft of or damage to baggage and private results etc.
The mere reason for the delays and the cancellation of the flight is mainly due to the climatic variability and hard terrain. The unusual blinding fog, heavy rainfall and strong winds could also results in flight delays or sometimes cancellation. The major timings for the chances of flight delay and cancellation occurrences are in winter and rainy season. Another major reason is the technical difficulty because of the lack of instrumental landing system in Tribhuvan International Airport; the domestic flights are often delayed or cancelled. January to the end of February is the bad time for the domestic flights in Nepal.
Personal Valuables & Belongings
We aren't liable for any damage or loss of your backpack or belongings. All your valuables are on your own risk however we can arrange for the safe deposit boxes in hotel of Kathmandu. It is highly recommended that you shouldn't carry expensive items during the trip.

Day 01: Arrive at Kathmandu
Upon your arrival time, a representative from Nepal Trekking Routes will reach Kathmandu International Airport [TIA] to welcome and receive you. You will then be escorted to your hotel where you can refresh and relax and in the evening a welcome dinner program will be organized at a Nepali restaurant. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 02: City Sightseeing and Trek Preparation
After enjoying morning breakfast, you will be picked by your guide from the hotel and take around Kathmandu for sightseeing. You will visit world heritage monuments such as Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, Swoyambunat and Bouddhanath. In the evening, our trekking guide will conduct a briefing about the trekking program before dinner. Overnight at Kathmandu.
Day 03: Kathmandu to Phakding
Day 03: Kathmandu to Phakding via Lukla flight (2,652m) 3 hrs
Wake up early today to catch a mountain flight to Lukla, the gateway to Mt. Everest. Unload your rucksacks and star trekking towards Phakding. Enroute you will pass through pine and oak forests with occasional chirping sound of birds. Overnight in Phakding.
Day 04: Trek to Namche
Day 04: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m) 5 - 6 hrs
Have a warm breakfast and take in the crispy air. The trail leaving Phakding parallels the Dudkhosi River alongside the forested hills. Crossing of the suspension bridge over the confluence of Bhotekoshi and Dudhkoshi allows for a first glimpse of Everest and other peaks. The last segment is fairly uphill trek till you reach Namche Bazar. Overnight in Namche Bazaar
Day 5: Namche Bazaar: Rest day
Today is an acclimatization day. You will spend exploring and learning about the sights and sounds of Namche Bazaar. Or alternatively you can hike up to Everest View Hotel, one of world’s highest hotels to capture an amazing panorama of Mahalangur Himalayan ranges including Everest, Thamserku, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Nuptse, Choaltse and so forth. Afterwards return to Namche and spend evening in cozy Namche cafes or pubs. Overnight in Namche.
Day 6: Namche to Tengboche (3,870m): 5 - 6 hrs
As the dawn breaks, you carry rucksack and march down the trail ahead. The section between Namche and Tengboche is fairly easy as you walk into serene forests of oaks, pines and magnolia. Tengboche Monastery is one of the most sacred Himalayan monastery built by the Sherpa community some 300 years ago. The monastery is in a vantage position affording a stunning view of Mt. Ama Dablam. Overnight in Tengboche.
Day 07: Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360 m) 5 - 6 hrs
The trail from Tengboches first goes downhill pass the quite forests. As you continue to walk further, the vegetation changes as trees give way to shrubs and rocky landscape with occasional walled houses. Overnight in Dingboche.
Day 08: Dingboche Rest Day
Today is another day allocated for acclimatization. Follow your trekking guide on a short hike to nearby Pangboche valley. You will have plenty of time to observe local Sherpa culture or enjoy yaks plying on the fields. Overnight in Dingboche.
Day 09: Dingboche - Lobuche (4,910) 5-6 hrs
The trail from Dingboche to Lobuche is straight forward along open lands crossed by fresh streams. You will enjoy beautiful Himalayan views of Everest, Lhotse and Thamserku along this section of trail as well as pay tribute to memorials erected in the name of trekkers and mountaineers who have lost their lives in Everest region. Overnight in Lobuche.
Day 10: Lobuche to Gorekshep via EBC (5,170m)8-9 hrs
This is most probably the best section of trekking on this trip. The trail is a bit rocky and challenging as you walk parallele to Khumbu glaciers on your right. The final section involves negotiating your way through big rocks and boulders. Gorakshep is the last village before Everest base camp. Overnight in Gorakshep.
Day 11: Gorekshep to Pheriche Via Kalapatthar (4280 m) 8-9 hrs
Rise up early, very early in the morning, around 4 am. You will start your trekking in the moonlight as you attempt to scale to the top of Kalapathar. All this effort is required to reach to the top of Kalapathar just at dawn, when the sunlight hits Mt. Everest and what lay infront you is the most stunning and magnificent views of sunrise on Mt. Everest. You will have plenty of time taking clicks before you return to Gorakshep. Have your lunch at Gorakshep and return to Pheriche. Overnight in read more... Pheriche.
Day 12: Pheriche to Namche (3,570m) 5-6 hrs
Retrace your step back to Namche. This is an easy walk, filled with ups and downs. Overnight in Namche.
Day 13: Namche to Lukla: 6- 8 hrs
You will continue to retrace your steps back to Lukla today enjoying the beautiful views of Everest, Lhotse, Thamserku and Choaltse. Overnight in Lukla.
Day 14: Lukla - Kathmandu
Catch an early morning flight back to Kathmandu. Once in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 15: Farewell Travel Guest
Depending on the time of your departure, our representative will accompany you to Tribhuvan International Airport.
